Orchard Green Community Cluster Clean Up and BBQ – This Saturday

WHEN: September 14th 10-1 (BBQ at 2:00)
(come anytime, and stay for as little or as long as you’d like!)

WHERE: The community “Green”

WHAT: The “Cluster Clean Up” happens twice a year. It is a chance for all of us as a neighborhood, to come out and contribute to maintain-ing our beautiful community. You may see some of the landscape com-mittee members out on those days covered in dirt, and feel intimidated to come out. You don’t need to know a THING about gardening to take part in this event. You can simply come out and help pick up stray sticks, help to weed common areas, or plant a few flowers (don’t know how? We’ll teach you!). More than anything, it’s a chance to get out-side and meet or spend some time with some wonderful neighbors. We always follow the event with a BBQ– we bring out grills from various neighbors and make hotdogs, hamburgers, share some cocktails or so-das, and just enjoy one another and the progress we made during the clean up. Please join us!

Cluster Cleanup and lunch this Saturday!!!

Cluster Clean Up Spring 2013

10 am -2 pm

Volunteer an hour or two of your time to help renew our cluster
landscape for the coming season. No skills required!

Donuts and coffee available for everyone at 9:45!

• A short list of easy tasks to start up the 2013 growing
season.

• Bring along your tools, work gloves, wagons and
wheelbarrows.

• Pick up some hints for your own garden spaces.

Cluster Hot Dog and Burger Break

2pm-4pm

Join us on the Green for BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers.

• Everyone is invited… you don’t have to volunteer at the Cluster
Clean Up to attend the BBQ (but the volunteer work DOES help to
build up an appetite!)

NOTE: Wood Pile Clearing

All resident wood piles must be neatly stacked and raised off the ground to minimize
bug infestation. Wood can be stored only on resident property and not on cluster
property. Please note that any resident wood piles on cluster property will be removed
during the Spring 2013 Cluster Clean Up event. The wood will be given away or trashed.

Spring 2013 Tree Replacements

The Orchard Green Cluster’s multi-year tree evaluation and upgrade plan
is now actively in motion. Six potentially hazardous trees were removed in
December 2012 and three replacement trees were immediately identified
for planting.

Discussion of the new trees to be installed behind the row of 11411 to
11423 Orchard Green Court will be a key agenda item during the next
board meeting. OGCA residents are invited to participate in this dialogue
as we move forward to improve the screening, tree maintenance and
overall tree landscape of our neighborhood.

January OGCA Board Meeting:

Date: Tuesday January 8, 2013
Time: 7:30pm
Location: 11404 Fairway Drive
